What We Believe

Who we are

King’s Army are a non denominational, Christian evangelism movement.

Word of God:

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. We fully submit to all its teachings, values, and principles.

One God:

We believe that there is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, and Governor of all things. We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead—the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, all equal in power and glory. We believe in the person of Jesus Christ who possessed both divine and human natures. He was fully God and fully man.

Politics:

We are not a political organization. We don’t stand for, represent, or align ourselves with any political party. Our fight is not with our fellow man but with the principality’s and powers of the air in the heavenly realms (Eph 6:12) We are not of this world (Jn 17:16) We are ambassadors for Christ, stood neutral in the middle, as God makes his appeal through us. On behalf of Christ we implore people of all opinions and persuasions to be reconciled to God. (2 Cor 5:20)

War with sin:

King’s Army soldiers believe we are at war with sin and the devil. We see life like a battlefield that is split down the middle, with two opposing armies on each side. On one half of the battlefield (life/light) (Col 1:12) are The King’s soldiers (Christians). (2 Tim 2:3) On the other half of the battlefield (death/darkness) (Col 1:13), are Satans soldiers (Demons) Behind enemy lines, trapped in trenches, deep in darkness, and sinking in swamps of sin, are the casualties of war. They are the dead (spiritually), or dying lost souls. (1 Pet 2:9) These are children of The King (2 Cor 6:18) who were deceived, and drawn away by their own selfish desires (James1:14). They are devoid of escape from the snares of the devil, having being captured by him to do his will. (2 Tim 2:26) Hidden here are legions of sons and daughters blinded to the truth. (2 Cor 4:4) Their hearts have been poisoned by a terminal virus called sin, for which there is no earthly cure. (Jer 17:9) There is however, a heavenly antidote. This antidote is hidden in the form of a bullet, a salvation bullet, containing one drop of God’s Holy blood. When fired from the weapon of the Gospel (2 Cor 6:7), the bullet finds its target (black heart) and there the salvation serum is released. It swims into the blood stream, reversing the terminal death process and bringing life everlasting. (1 Pet 2:9). We believe the mission given from the King to all of his soldiers, is to take back that which was stolen! (Matt 28:19) (Col 1:13)

Why does King’s Army have

Ranks

Our ranks immediately inform someone of remit & responsibility. . In the church we have rank: bishop, arch deacon, deacon, elder. In every other service there is rank and title to denote honour, respect, training level, and authority. In the kingdom of God it is no different: there is rank, spiritual authority, honour, levels of responsibility, the difference is that in the Kingdom we rule and lead with the heart of a servant and serve with the heart of a King. We are ultimately brothers and sisters in Christ and Jesus is our King and leader.

Uniform

You don’t need a uniform to evangelise or represent Jesus and His Kingdom, but yet every other emergency service has a uniform: the police, the ambulance service, the fire brigade. These secular uniforms are worn with pride, reverence and for good reason - to stand out, to make operatives easily identifiable. Likewise, King’s Army evangelists and disciple makers leave a trace of grace and a memorable marker for where people can come when they need help, healing, deliverance and salvation.

Drill

Drill and Ceremony instills unity and removes individuality. It reinforces that the mission is larger than one person and a team is needed for success. It instills discipline, teamwork, unity, esprit de corps (the “spirit” that embodies a unit and the honor of belonging). Drill is “many” moving as “one”, we cease to be a group of individuals and become an orderly, focused unit in one accord.
